What the mileage on a listing is
It is the odometer reading we entered when we listed the car. The car is driven for test drives after that, so the odometer at the lot can be a little higher than the listing. The price reflects the year and the mileage.
Use the VIN before you visit
Every listing shows the full 17-character VIN. With it you can order a vehicle history report from a provider of your choice, check for open recalls on the manufacturer's or NHTSA's site, and get an insurance quote, all before you drive over.
What you sign about mileage
When a car changes hands, federal law requires the seller to give the buyer a written odometer disclosure for most cars. It is part of the paperwork you sign here at the lot, in person.
